Ikea stores in Norway are having banks of superfast chargers installed for customer use

Ikea have always been a step ahead when it comes to sustainability; they’ve been fitting solar PV on their stores for years, even after state subsidies were stopped in many of the countries in which they operate. Ikea has long since realised that generating electricity from your own commercial solar system on your own building gives you the cheapest electricity at a price that will never go up.

They are now ahead of the game with regard to EVs; Ikea stores in Norway are having banks of superfast chargers installed for customer use. Norway will ban diesel and petrol cars by 2025 so a well developed fast charging network is essential. It's also good for business. Shops, restaurants, cafes, garden centres with charging facilities will attract more customers that those who don’t.
