We like the look of the futuristic Mercedes Maybach

Well, we like the look of this new electric Maybach concept but we doubt it will ever see production. If it does,  we’d hope the source of propulsion is as futuristic as the cars looks; to launch a concept that may or may not be produced at some point in the future and boast about stuff like a 80kW battery, 200 mile range and 60 mile charge in five minutes - things Tesla have already offered for a couple of years on its Model S - sort of lets it down.

Daimler Benz is playing catch up with EVs and this may be an attempt to prove that it is serious about this stuff. But a leap forward in EV capability this is not.
