Let's kick oil while the price is down

We don’t often find much we agree with in The Grauniad but this clip by Naomi Klein is of interest.

Given her well documented dislike of capitalism, it’s surprising to hear her argue for some very nasty capitalist behaviour of taking advantage of an enemy’s weakness. Her main thrust is spot-on although we think she could expand more on the commercial, strategic and macro economic benefits of removing our dependence on (imported) oil.

We’ve all enjoyed the economic bounce that the fall in pump prices has given us; just imagine the boost to the economy if we weren’t dependent on imported oil and gas.

Listen to the clip at The Guardian.
