Solar generated more electricity than coal in May

A significant milestone was passed in May this year. Solar generated more electricity for Britain than coal.

This is great news and we hope soon it will become the norm. The government realised in 2012 that coal-fired power stations ought to be shoved in the history books and they are all due to close by 2025, this opens the door for alternatives and solar is in the driving seat.

Britain is catching up with the ever resourceful Germans with renewables and long may it continue.
