One big step for renewable aviation 

We told you about the incredible solar powered plane here but this is even more relevant in that it is made by Airbus and that it will be certified for flights in 2017.

Imagine,  an aircraft powered by batteries.  Now think about where planes are stored.  Hangars. What do hangars have?  Huge areas of roof space which can be used to generate electricity.  Still think that solar powered aircraft are a fantasy?
