Audi to unveil 310-mile electric SUV to rival Tesla Model X

Audi’s move into Tesla’s airspace makes the front page of today’s FT;   any doubters who cling on to the hope that internal combustion will always be with us will have to accept that the game is over.  When a manufacturer as important as VW starts delivering electric cars which are both practical -  a 310 mile range removes the range anxiety problem -  and desirable,  the momentum will be unstoppable. Technology used first in expensive Audi’s will be used in larger numbers in cheaper VWs and Seats.
