This interesting graphic shows the amount of PV capacity installed country by country and it suggests that grey, dreary old Britain is punching above its weight.
Anyone who has driven through Bavaria in recent years will not be surprised that Germany has a lot of solar energy; they might be shocked to learn that the Germans have three times the amount of PV capacity as the US and around a quarter of the worlds total.
This graphic was used to illustrate an article describing the woes of the oil industry at present. Its content suggests that when southern Europe, north Africa, the Middle East and Australia start taking PV as seriously as the Germans, big oil is toast.
