Diesel car owners are facing tax increases

Some months ago, when the VW dieselgate story first broke, we suggested that venal politicians will use the scandal to make hay with increased tax take.

Here is proof that the government sees diesel cars as fair game and there is easy money to be gathered from diesel car drivers whilst claiming the pretext of environmental righteousness.

Cynicism aside, it is plainly obvious to anyone who breathes the air in London that diesel is a bad thing to be burning in cars and should be consigned to history.
