Mypower customer shines on BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today

We’re early risers at Mypower and we were able to catch some of our customers talking about the success of their PV systems on their farming and food businesses.

Listen again on BBC iPlayer Radio

It was great to hear Peter Alvis from Alvis Bros,  who make cheese on an industrial scale in North Somerset.  Peter talks about how the 172kWp system we installed on their cheese store matches generation with demand;  when it’s warm and sunny the cheese requires more cooling and this is the time at which the system achieves peak output.  This is exactly how PV should work,  using the energy where it is produced.

Steve Edmunds form Mole Energy went on to outline his vision of PV becoming  an entirely  normal way for companies to provide electricity for their businesses,  a vision we share.  We’ve been one of only three installers Mole Energy recommend to their members for several years and enjoy working with this hugely well respected and influential business.

The installation at Alvis Bros also featured in Mole Valley's 'The Newsletter' magazine
