Mypower install solar PV on the pavilion roof of Dumbleton Cricket Club
The perfect accompaniment to the perfect summer game
In the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside in the Cotswolds lies the picturesque Dumbleton Cricket club. Mypower have just completed a 4kW solar install on their cricket pavilion roof. The 4kW system will produce 3300 kwh of electric per year and will help the club to reduce their electricity costs during the busy summer months and help run their fridges and chillers in the bar all year round.
Funding for the project was secured from the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust. The club will benefit from these solar panels for the next 20 years through energy security and reducing their carbon foot print.
Ground Manager, Matt Venner said: "The panels will save the club a lot of money each year, which can now be spent on supporting the activities of the club, including our thriving junior section”.
We wish Dumbleton Cricket Club all the best for the rest of the season and beyond.
