Mypower’s 10th birthday year

This year, 2020, Mypower turns 10. Do you know, only ¼ of companies make it to 10 years? We our very proud of our journey to reach this milestone, especially in a sector which has seen so many highs and lows.

Since our beginnings in 2010 we’ve installed over 46,200 PV panels producing more than 10 million units of electricity each year which saves 3,300 tonnes of CO2 from being released into the environment annually, the same as planting 16,500 trees each year. 

In 2016 we made history when we designed and installed 150 solar PV panels on the roof of Gloucester Cathedral. Mypower was winner of the National Solar Power Portal Awards 2017, winner in the CorporateLiveWire Energy & Mining Awards 2017, and highly commended in both the British Renewable Energy Awards 2017 and the SW Energy Efficiency Awards 2017.

This year, despite the current global coronavirus pandemic, we continue to see businesses look to generate their own clean electricity for their business to help reduce their impact on climate changes and reduce operating costs. 

We had lots of brilliant and fun plans laid out to celebrate with customers and employees. However, when we were planning how we’d celebrate Mypower turning 10, we didn’t foresee a worldwide pandemic pausing our celebration plans!
