The report in The Times, claims that we are now at the point of no return for take up of electric cars. As the manufacturer of The Leaf, they would say that wouldn’t they, but we suspect that it’ll be charging at home and at work that accounts for most of those chargers. Public charging points may give drivers reassurance for long distance journeys but if they charge (£££) as much per charge (kWh) as Ecotricity are proposing then we think demand may not be that great.
