40% of the country’s new cars were EVs last year and Norway has ambitions to remove all Ice cars from its roads by 2025 - that’s only eight years away which means it takes someone with a total disregard for depreciation to by a petrol or diesel car in Norway these days.
Free charging helps - Norway has abundant hydro-electric electricity and anyway prefers to export all its oil and gas for cash - and generous incentives make the switch easier. But Norway’s model is being replicated in Holland and will come to the UK soon enough.
