Over one in ten small businesses are generating electricity on site

This research from the FSB - reported in The Telegraph - reveals the level at which small, privately owned businesses are taking charge of their own energy. These businesses typically take a longer term view than corporate managers who tend to look no further than the next quarters’ numbers.

Energy costs and security of supply are perhaps not an immediate worry but those with a longer term outlook know what’s coming and are investing in their own energy generation now to avoid big energy cost increases affecting their competitiveness and profitability.
