Figures soar for clean energy project applications in the UK

Figures for clean energy planning applications have hit a four year high, a trend which looks set to rise year on year, according to PX Group.  Companies are keen to cut their carbon emissions and meet UK climate policy requirements.

A lack of financial support for onshore wind projects had forced a decline in the number of onshore wind and solar developments.  However, a u-turn by the government against subsidising onshore projects, means that from next year, developers will be able to compete at auction for subsidies.
