Further evidence in the Pink ‘Un as to the disruptive effect Germany’s push for renewable energy is having on the established central generators.  RWE,  once considered one of the safest of utility stocks,  is now running itself down,  reducing investment and conceding that plans for revenue growth will never happen under the current business model.

The trend for localised,   self generation of electricity is now well entrenched in Germany,  the UK is probably three years away from seeing the same seismic changes in the energy supply structure.
