There's a simple reason why National Grid's warning about EV charging is false

National Grid has issued a warning - using the medium of slick video - about the threats posed to domestic electricity supplies if too many people switch to EVs and try to charge them at night.

It would all be very disturbing if it weren’t for the fact that most EV drivers wouldn’t charge more than a couple of times a week and many will be charging their cars at their place of work. The really canny ones will have solar on the warehouse roof and will charge their cars for free.
