Work has started on a floating solar PV project on a London reservoir
We like this French innovation which allows PV arrays to be installed on large expanses of water. Our water utilities control lots of these reservoirs and use lots of electricity to pump water from them into peoples’ homes. This is a perfect example of how solar can be used directly at the point of demand.
Reservoirs, like factory and warehouse rooftops, are excellent places to generate electricity. No land is lost and no crops or livestock are displaced.
