The noise is increasing and we must surely expect the tax treatment of diesel and diesel powered cars to change in the budget next month. Transport Minister Chris Grayling is already on the record with a suggestion that people should think long and hard before buying a diesel car and this report in The Guardian quotes the British Lung foundation as well as doctors group supporting a ban on diesel; this will offer the chancellor political cover for any new taxes on DERV.
