We agree that the biggest impact of this car will be the kick in the backside that it gives to the established car makers. Suddenly, it is apparent that an electric car with good looks, decent range and a real-world price will attract huge demand. We think that by the time those 300,000 customers who have paid their deposits actually receive their cars, Tesla won’t have this market to itself.
