The American humourist P J O’Rourke famously described them as ‘ass- engined Nazi slot cars’. He was referring to the 930 (a 911 derivative) and comparing it, unfavourably, with the Ferrari 308GTS.
This is a bit more cutting edge and we like it. The Mission E,being shown for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show, offers 310 miles on one charge (similar to a Tesla 85) and full charging in fifteen minutes using the sort of contactless charging we told you about here.
The debate about whether the engine is better in the front or the back and whether it is better cooled by water or by air is irrelevant. There is no engine.
