Waste is threatening Maldives tourism industry

Any of you planning a luxury trip to the Maldives may wish to stop reading now.

This piece in today’s FT depicts the threat to the Maldives tourism industry from waste. 

There does appear to be a happy ending though, thanks to the implementation of proper recycling powered by solar energy. This is good news.
