Let’s be clear about their motives; none of these businesses are investing in solar because they want to wrap themselves in a warm cloak of environmental righteousness. These businesses know that solar electricity is the cheapest per kWh they can buy and that having solar on their buildings guarantees that low cost electricity for at least twenty five years. Lower electricity means lower overheads which means bigger profits and happy shareholders.
