GM are killing off their hideous electric Volt car

With sales plunging by over 50%, GM has quietly announced that it is killing off its electric Volt. GM cites lower gasoline prices in the US for its demise.

We would suggest that the fact that the ugly bug looks like a 1990s Yugo and has a meagre battery range.

Tesla, and now BMW, have proved that electric cars will sell if they look good and have decent range. The Volt is so ugly it makes your eyes bleed and even hair-shirted eco loons aren’t prepared to put up with this level of hideousness.

Good riddance.
