One of Mypower's customers is getting sub 5 pence electricity with solar

We’re delighted at production data from one of our customers which, even in this murky, drab early summer, indicates a cost of each unit of electricity generated during the insured output period of this system at 4.73 pence/unit. This compares to the price of electricity they buy from the grid of 9.5p. 

This goes further to confirm that a well designed PV system, using high quality, high output panels, is a strategic, commercial investment regardless of whether the government offer subsidies.
