Reports claim EDF will struggle to keep the lights on in France this winter
Advocates of nuclear to be the cornerstone of UK energy policy often point to France as a fine example of an advanced industrial nation running on nuclear electricity.
Today's report in The Times, detailing EDF's struggles to keep French lights on this winter should give massive cause for concern.
EDF, of course, is the firm we are relying on to deliver Hinkley C and provide 7% of our electricity.
We still don't believe it will ever get built.
