Apple is in talks to either buy, or make a significant investment in McLaren

FT reporting that Apple is in talks to either buy, or make a significant investment in McLaren, the loss making British sports car manufacturer.

This is an exciting prospect; Apple’s cash pile and automotive ambition couple with an iconic and tech-leading car maker with a brand even more cool than Apple.

Would the world’s richest really buy an Apple car? Possibly not. This is a great brand move for Apple and the price is around 10% of the tax bill they’ve just been handed by the EU. Small change, really.

We can’t wait for the first electric version of the 12C….
