BP respond to Shell's move in the EV charging market
It’s interesting to read about BPs response to the recent moves by its arch-rival Shell to become a major player in the electricity market; BP boss Bob Dudley has told a London conference that BP won’t be making any bold bets on renewable technologies.
This may well turn out to be a mistake. The irony is that BP was an early mover on solar, being one of the top three manufacturers of panels in the world. Short sighted management divested all BPs solar interests just as the global solar boom took off. We can only imagine how dominant BP Solar might be now had they applied some long term thinking to these assets.
