An electric car charging point has been installed in the car park outside Quercus House, home of Mypower.

Manufactured by Rolec, the charger has two connecting sockets and is situated between two car parking spaces, so you guessed it, two electric cars can be charged at the same time.

What's more, solar panels on the roof of Quercus House produce the building's electricity, meaning the cars can be charged for nothing.

Gloucestershire County Council recently announced the arrival of ten charging points in the county, an innovation which is commented on here. It seems the county's council and businesses are leading the way.

This year has seen a surge in the sale of electric and hybrid cars. Almost four times as many cars have been sold this year up to the month of May as were sold in the whole of 2014.

With soaring sales figures like these, charging points are going to be a necessity in the years to come for businesses.

Mypower have got theres in early, plan for the future and do the same for your business.
