How we work:
Solar isn’t something that can happen in one sunny afternoon. Great things take months, and solar takes at least six.
We understand the hesitation when you don’t know what to expect, especially since solar is a big step. So, here we are, setting the stage.
Let’s walk through it…
Customer contact – Ops qualification
Every solar project starts with a conversation. This is where we make sure the project is built on a sustainable foundation. Just like you want to know who we are and how we work, this is also the time for us to learn about your business.
You’ll have one of our dedicated Project Managers, who will know your project inside out and be your first point of contact. No getting passed around from department to department, just one person who keeps the project moving.
To make sure everything runs smoothly, we need to know a few things from you, such as:
Motivation:
Why are you interested in solar? Is it sustainability, finances, or both?
1/2-hour Consumption:
This allows us to determine the size system that would be most appropriate for you by predicting your daily peak consumption.
Your Electricity Meter:
We need the location of your electricity meter so we can connect to the existing infrastructure.
Desktop – Budget estimate
Your Project Manager will prepare an in-person presentation to walk you through the project, explain the approach, and give you a few options for your Solar PV installation.
No stress about distractions or technical issues. Just a face-to-face presentation that is made for the sustainable future of your business. Take a seat and think about which installation best meets your business needs.
DNO submission
Once everything looks good, we can then submit a request to the Distribution Network Operator (DNO)
This part of the process typically takes about 10 weeks. The DNO must ensure the local grid can safely handle the additional power generated by your PV, preventing voltage spikes and capacity issues.
But don’t worry, you’re in good hands; we submit the requests for our customers - free of charge!
Site survey
Once permission is granted, it’s time to prepare a formal quote. To do so, your Project Manager will conduct a site visit to ensure the project starts on the right foot. This is where we provide details, offering a clear view of site access, building measurements, and potential obstacles. We understand the concern about operational disruptions, which is why we work around your schedule to keep your business running during the installation.
This site survey helps us identify and correct any incorrect assumptions, enabling us to provide an accurate and fair quote.
Formal design + quote
We like to keep our customers in the loop. So, upon completion of the design and confirmation of the quote, we will visit you again for another presentation. When you’re happy with everything, you’re ready to come to the light side.
We will schedule your installation for a date that best fits your schedule to minimise disruption. In that time, we will also get the permissions and arrange deliveries.
System installs
You’re on the final step, the installation! This is the exciting part where we put the plan into reality.
When everything is installed, we will send you over a handover pack. This will include all the important documents that you need to keep safe for future reference. The documents will include instructions for monitoring the solar panels to ensure everything is functioning correctly and that you’re receiving the service you expect.
Finally, we will ask all our customers to rate their experience on Trustpilot to help us improve. This helps other businesses take the first step to a greener planet and ensures our processes are customer-focused.
We hope this page helped you better understand how we operate, and that after reading it, you’re more confident about switching to solar!
