UK businesses making the effort to reduce energy consumption

This (paid for - by Renault) piece in The Telegraph confirms our own experience that companies are starting to take energy costs seriously.

It quotes a PwC survey that finds that almost a fifth of UK companies plan to generate a significant amount of their own energy on site within five years and almost half are seeking to reduce dependency on the grid. This isn’t greenwashing; this is hard nosed commercial thinking. Electricity prices are rising faster than inflation and are set to continue doing so.
